On May 10, 2021, at 4 pm, the Municipality of Loulé will organize, in partnership with the Regional Agency for Energy and Environment of the Algarve (AREAL), the Webinar “Learn more about Renewable Energy Communities”, aimed at the public in general, within the scope of the Quarteira Lab project, co-financed by the Environmental Fund.

In line with the National Energy and Climate Plan (PNEC 2030), with the Municipal Strategy for Adaptation to Climate Change and with the strong commitment that the municipality of Loulé has made in decentralized energy production, namely, through support provided to the IPSS of the county and in the implementation of photovoltaic production units in schools and municipal buildings, this online action aims to make the general population aware of Decree-Law No. 162/2019, which approves the legal regime applicable to self-consumption of renewable energy and how the Renewable Energy Communities can be put into practice and the benefits that the final consumer can derive from their membership.
